What I am trying to accomplish here at the Making Future Communities REU is to expand my knowledge on cyber security and complete the research. At the moment, I know little to nothing about what cyber security except for the basic protection of private information, fighting against viruses of the many sorts, and from hacker attacks. Plus I want to know if cyber security is something I will be interested in and be willing to work with in my future. I want to complete this research because I was not able to complete my previous research due to personal problems, school work, and extracurricular activities so I hope this time I’ll do better since I should not have any distractions. I completely almost forgot, another thing I want to accomplish is networking with students and teachers. School staff and students at Central Piedmont Community College always emphasized on making connections with anybody because you will never know if that connection can get you a job or higher position at job. Even though I am a reserved and relaxed person I hope I willing to get out of my comfort zone and let my name me known among the other students, REU interns and teachers here at this UNCC program.
